We are thrilled to share that Sharon Slattery was honored as “FLACS Educator of the Year” at a celebration held by the Black Latinx Asian Charter Collaborative (BLACC). Ms. Slattery is a fifth-grade teacher in her ninth year at FLACS II, and is also one of our amazing teacher leaders! She is a compassionate, caring, and dedicated teacher. Her classroom is student-centered, joyful, and focused on academic excellence. In Spring 2023 her students had the highest performance outcomes on the NYS test across our network.
